Limón

Today's word is: 'limón' = lemon.

In Spanish, the word 'limón' is a masculine noun of Arabic/ Persian/ Sanskrit origin which means lemon, the fruit of the lemon tree -in Spanish the tree is called, "limonero".

A couple of expressions with the noun 'limón' in them are:
  • Zumo de limón (lemon juice)
  • Jugo de limón (lemon juice)

An example of the use of the word is:
  • Zumo de limón, zumo de bendición (Spanish proverb extolling the goodness of lemon juice)
