SCENARIO
Imagine
you are talking to
a relative, a friend or colleague. You are talking about things you
do. The other person
knows that you usually have to do Spanish homework and says to you
something like: "when
do you do your homework?"
In
Spanish, the other person could choose to be less formal and say:
¿Cuándo
haces los deberes?
Alternatively,
he/ she could choose to be more formal and say:
¿Cuándo
hace (usted) los deberes?

The question is an
invitation for you to say when you do your Spanish homework. When you
say when you do something, you DO NOT need to be
concerned about the level of formality in the other person's
question. Your main concern should be about saying when you do your
Spanish homework.
Here are some
examples of how you could reply:
- Hago los deberes los lunes (I do my homework on Mondays);
- Hago los deberes los lunes por la noche (I do my homework on Monday evenings);
- Hago los deberes después de la clase de español (I do my homework after my Spanish lesson);
- Hago deberes todos los días (I do my homework everyday);
